Hanfish Power Jig Head

The Power Jig Head is the heavy-duty end of the range: a thick-wire BKK hook in a solid head, built for bigger soft baits and fish that pull back. Where a fine-wire LRF jighead will open up under pressure, this one is made not to.

It covers a wide spread of weights, from 2 g for working a shad slowly in shallow water up to 14 g for fishing deep or holding bottom in current. The heavier sizes are the practical choice for zander off the drop-offs.

Matching the hook to your bait

• No. 2/0 — 5, 6 and 7 cm paddle-tail shads
• No. 3/0 — 7, 8 and 9 cm shads, and 7 cm shrimp patterns
• No. 1 — smaller baits where you still want a strong hook
• No. 4/0, 14 g — the deep-water and heavy-current option
