A snap is the cheapest part of your setup and the one most likely to lose you a fish. The Strong Snap is made from high-grade stainless steel and precision-formed, so it holds its shape under load instead of springing open — which is the failure every angler has had at the worst possible moment.
It is also chemically polished. That leaves a smooth surface with no burrs or sharp edges, so it does not saw through your leader where the knot sits — a real problem with cheap snaps on thin fluorocarbon.
Being able to change lure without re-tying is the point of a snap, and it matters most when you are working through colours and weights to find what the fish want. These sizes cover LRF through to normal spinning.
